Entering the scene and shaking up the landscape of folk music, Land and ammunition is the fusion of two major forces destined to shake up the genre with a new perspective that pushes the boundaries.
Founded by high energy, gender-bending Rob Baileyand sultry songwriter Jake Hill; the duo take on the folk genre with their latest collaboration Land & Ammo, released May 1, 2022. “Although Land & Ammo tells a disturbing story, the song still sounds upbeat, like a battle cry.” Rob explains. “It’s a song that energizes the listener and encourages them to sing along.”
Known for his work blending the frenetic, otherworldly tones of upbeat electronic music with the aggressive, abrasive energy of rock, Rob Bailey’s previous musical projects ‘Kill Rob Bailey’ and “Rob Bailey and the Hustle Standard” have enjoyed great success since 2012. The independent artist held No. 1 on the iTunes charts, a peak of No. 6 on the Billboard charts and No. 14 on overall digital sales, as well as placements with ESPN, SportsCenter, TV shows and even a remix with Busta Rhymes.
Multi-talented Rob Bailey enjoys his entrepreneurial spirit outside of music by dividing his time as a fashion designer, business mentor, real estate investor and podcaster, with his brand of “inspirational workout music” serving as songs themes for its creative flexibility and restlessness. -difficult way of life.
Jake Hill has also been busy, honing his skills as a longtime folk music songwriter and performing throughout Massachusetts. “Collaborating with Jake was a blast. We both seem to fit perfectly into this new sound, and we’re excited to share it with the world. Mentioned Bailey.
With a history of blurring the lines between genres and creating a niche using these elements, Land & Ammo is poised to do the same within the folk scene.“When I imagine American folk music, I feel like it lacks a certain energy, but with Land & Ammo, we’re here to bring that energy.”
