Dimapur, August 6 (EMN): Hundreds of music lovers attended the free concert organized by Dimapur Ao Youth Organization (DAYO) with the theme “Nagaland for Peace and Harmony” at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur on Saturday.
The headliner, the group M SONIC, took center stage and captivated the audience, fused with Sufi and rock music.
The Colored Keys trio kicked off the concert with their folk tunes, before Samuel Konyak mesmerized the audience with Konyak love songs and Vinika Yepthomi added variety by performing popular Bollywood songs.
Various artists including Tiameren Aier, Projection Crew, DGP Band and Mahila Band performed at the event.
Earlier in the program, Reverend Dr. Wati Aier, Head of FNR, said the invocation prayer.
DAYO President Tia Longchar said in his welcome speech that they had witnessed unity and diversity, and urged the gathering to continue to live in peace and harmony.
While asking everyone to seek peace and harmony, he assured that DAYO will continue to uphold its motto “Unity and Justice” not only within the Ao community but also for all communities in general.
He also thanked the 11 Legislature of the Ao community, the administrator, the police, the bosses and the supporters.
