With the single anthem “I can’t take this off‘, currently in hyper rotation on SiriusXM Octane, the album features ten infectious tracks celebrating inclusivity and musical diversity while bringing in the good times. It’s a spirit that AVOID conveys through their impressive live shows, fueling the band’s reputation as one of heavy music’s most promising young bands.

“What a journey that this record is finally here. It’s the culmination of everyone’s hard work, struggles, ups and downs, lefts and rights, and everything that’s happened over the past two years. When we started making this record, I don’t think any of us knew what we were signing up for. I think we went through 30 or 40 demos and song starting points to get to the 10 that made the album, and because of that I’m so proud of it. We didn’t settle down until we got exactly what we wanted out of that sound, and I’m so proud of that. I hope this record can mean something to you as it does to me! Says singer Benny Scholl about the new record.

Along with the Cult Mentality release comes a rambunctious new music video for AVOID’s latest single, “Can’t Take This Away.”

“We had so much fun shooting this one. We were able to have this whole bowling alley to ourselves for the day, which in itself was a trip. Our director Matthue Cole is one of our best friends and we’re super comfortable with him, so it’s always cool that he pushes us and brings out the best in us when we work together. I think the video is perfect for this song too because this song is really about living your best life, hanging out with your friends, driving with the windows down and just generally kicking ass. I hope it’s as fun to watch as it is to do! Says Scholl about the new music video.

Fans can catch AVOID now touring the United States with The Plot In You, Silent Planet and Cane Hill. See tour dates below.
