5 more new horror movies are coming out this Thursday and Friday!

This week has been filled with new horrors, with six new horror movies already hitting home last Tuesday. Guess what? It was only the beginning.

The summer horror season is in full swing with the first big theatrical release of the summer this weekend, and it’s joined by four more new horror movies in the final days of the week.

Here are all the new horrors that are coming June 23 & 24, 2022!


The first standing the neon soaked horror movie Developer premiere this morning on quiverwritten by comic book writers Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash, The comeback) and Michael Moreci (Barbaric, The parcel).

Director Luke Boyceit is Developer stars Caito Aase (black mold) and Shaina Schrooten (Scare Pack II: Rad Chad’s Revenge).

In the film, “What started out as a typical Chicago workday in 1987 for Angie Pittarelli (Aase), a dancer at the Revealers Bookstore peep show booth, turns tragic when her annoying boss is suddenly killed in an uprising at outside the store, leaving her trapped in the cabin, unable to escape. Soon, she learns that hiding in the cabin next to hers is none other than Sally Mewbourne (Schrooten), an overzealous religious protester who seems to enjoy regularly harassing Angie.

“Sally is panicked as she claims the kidnapping has happened and the apocalypse has begun. With nowhere to go, Angie and Sally must part their differences and come together to fight this unknown evil, navigating into the treacherous smugglers’ tunnels under the store to survive the unthinkable.

Scott Derrickson (Sinister, Doctor Strange) is back with The black phonean adaptation of Joe HillThe Short Story of Who will be released exclusively in theaters on Friday, June 24.

“Finney Shaw, a shy but intelligent 13-year-old boy, is kidnapped by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is useless. When a disconnected phone on the wall starts ringing, Finney discovers he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they’re determined to make sure what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.

Four-time Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke in the most terrifying role of his career and introducing Mason Thames in his very first film role, The black phone is produced, directed and co-written by Scott Derrickson, the writer-director of Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Marvel strange doctor.

The screenplay for the film is by Derrickson & C.Robert Cargill (Strange, Sinister Doctor franchise).


Released in theaters last week, Vertical Entertainment’s Abandoned now returns to VOD outlets this Friday. Emma Roberts stars beside John Gallagher Jr. and Michael Shannon.

spencer squire directed the film, written by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott.

Abandoned follows the intense lives of Sara (Emma Roberts), her husband Alex (John Gallagher Jr.) and their infant son as they move into an isolated farmhouse, which holds a dark and tragic history. As their home’s past is revealed, the mother’s fragility spirals into a state of psychosis that jeopardizes her own safety and that of her newborn son.


Berber sound studio and Fabric director Peter Strickland is back this week with Gourmet Feeda crazy new horror-comedy that IFC Midnight brings to the table tomorrow.

Gourmet Feed just selected cinemas and Digital/VOD on Fridays.

In the film, “A sound collective that can’t decide on a name takes up residency at an institute dedicated to culinary and food performance. Members Elle di Elle, Billy Rubin and Lamina Propria are caught up in their own power struggles, only their dysfunctional dynamics are further exacerbated when they have to answer to the head of the institute, Jan Stevens. With the various rivalries unfolding, Stones, the Institute’s “dossier” must privately endure mounting stomach issues while documenting the activities of the collective.

“After hearing about Stones’ visits to gastroenterologist Dr. Glock, Elle coerces him into his performances in a desperate bid for authenticity. The reluctant Stones go along with the collective’s plans to use his condition for their art while that Jan Stevens goes to war with Elle over creative differences.

Asa Butterfield, Gwendoline Christie, Ariane Labed, Fatma Mohamed, Makis Papadimitriou, Richard Bremmer and Leo Bill star in Gourmet Feed.


The Last New Horror Release Of The Week Is Dark Sky The dawn rises behind the eyes, which comes to Digital this Friday. It is said to be inspired by Mario Bava and classic Italian horror.

The genre-bending Gothic horror movie comes from the director Kevin Kopackafeaturing Jeff Wilbusch from “The Missing” by Peacock. You watch the gorgeous official trailer below.

In The dawn rises behind the eyes“Margo, who comes from a noble family, has inherited a castle which she inspects with her hot-tempered husband Dieter. When they arrive at the dilapidated keep, their relationship is tested as their health slowly deteriorating. This opens up a new world. As time and space begin to move around them, a reality that only exists within the walls of the strange building is exposed – a reality full of heat and excess.

“Things are not what they seem in this genre-changing film, which moves from story to story in unpredictable ways. It’s a love letter to European cinema of the 60s and 70s that will leave viewers guessing what happens next.

The cast also includes Anna Platen (Para–Wir sind King), Luisa Taraz, Frederik Von Lüttichau (gender crisis), with Bill Becker, Christopher Rammand Elena Gomez Alvarez.
